Description
Most block print dohars use scattered motifs with visible white space between each design — this one is different. The entire surface is covered in a continuous jaali (lattice) pattern, where small floral bursts sit inside scalloped diamond frames connected by delicate vine work. It's a denser, more ornate print style, closer to what you'd find on a heritage tile or an old haveli jharokha design, rather than a simple sprig-and-stem motif.
The color palette also sets it apart — instead of a single accent color on white, this one layers three tones (deep blue, olive green, and soft grey) within each repeat, which is why it reads richer in photos and in person. Both sides carry this same detailed print, so there's no "wrong side" to worry about when spreading it on the bed. The navy-and-white candy-stripe piping is a finishing touch that's more tailored-looking than a plain cord border.
What Makes This Print Different
- All-over lattice coverage – no plain white gaps like scattered booti prints; the pattern fills the entire dohar
- Three-tone print (not single accent) – blue + green + grey layered per motif, giving more depth than typical two-tone block prints
- Scalloped jaali/trellis structure – inspired by jharokha and jaali architecture, not floral sprigs
- Candy-stripe navy piping – thinner, crisper stripe pattern vs. the twisted cord piping used on your other dohars
- Same print both sides – no front/back confusion, dense pattern hides fold/quilting lines well
- 100% cotton, 90x100 double bed size – lightweight, breathable, machine washable
